She'd love to push him off of a plank into the open ocean. Quite literally. [greatintights]

The Ship. The few people Patricia allows herself to call "friends." For whatever reason, these people have some sort of loyalty to her and she to them. Patricia doesn't let many people in, but these people have personalities similar enough to hers that she doesn't mind spending time with them. [gingeredwitch & OPEN]

The Lost Boys. These people aren't in the same league as The Pan, but they nonetheless serve as constant thorns in Patricia's side. Generally, it's simply that they annoy her, but at times they can actually inspire her to action. Patricia loves giving one of these people the punishment they deserve. In fact, it's one of her few sources of happiness in life. [off_the_hookah & wearingshirts & tinkerbelling]

The First Mate. It's this person's job to help Patricia out. She might not trust her completely, but the girl seems to be competent enough. Of course, Patricia would love to turn her into a small version of herself, but that seems pretty unlikely. Well, actually, that seems nearly impossible. So for now, she'll accept the fact that she's a capable assistant. [starsthrewdown]

The Pirates. Patricia's minions, few and far between though they are. Patricia can tolerate idiocy and incompetence as long as they are backed up by loyalty to her. She'll do anything to keep their loyalty, including buying them lavish gifts and defending them to others. When you're as mean as Patricia is, it's good to have people who will be there to do your bidding when you need it.
[tookeen & getoffmybridge & sneakypardons]

[COMMENT HERE IF YOU THINK YOUR CHARACTER MIGHT FIT FOR A STORYLINE! The company specializes in (you guessed it!) crocodile skin bags.

tale
Fairy Tale Character: Captain Hook; Peter Pan
Special Duties: Patricia serves as one of the four Librarians at the Atheneum. She is responsible for overseeing all of the reincarnated Modern and American tales, a job for which she finds herself well suited.
Status: Due to her position as Head of the Modern and American Tales, Patricia's Tale is well-known. She rarely (if ever) discloses the fact that she was Hook when giving new Tales their Compendiums, but word tends to spread quickly - especially among Neverlanders.

personality
Personality: Patricia Goldberg is not the sweetest petunia in the garden. Though she likes to think that she has a certain sense of charm, her personality is both forceful and condescending. She is happiest when in control, and considers yelling to be one of the finer art forms in the field of communication. Snarky and rude, she never quite learned the Golden Rule - she expects to be treated with the highest respect, and lashes out in anger when she is not. However, those who do fall in line will find themselves rewarded, at least when it is convenient for Patricia.

She finds being a Librarian to be quite tedious and boring, but enjoys using it to her advantage when appropriate. She loves the control that it gives her over other tales, and is never afraid to overstep her boundaries in doling out punishments or abusing her privileges. Her greatest desire is to become the Head Librarian when Anser is out of the picture, and isn't exactly subtle about these ambitions.

Though Patricia doesn't really do "friends," she does work well with accomplices. You scratch her back, she'll scratch hers. Sure, she'll look the other way while you poison your arch enemy's coffee, as long as you don't mind helping her push Pan off of a tall building.

Reputation: What a bitch.
Likes: Power. Coffee. Money. Water. Sailing. Yelling. Comfortable bedding. Alcohol.
Dislikes: Children. "Pretending." Flowers. Sickening girly-girls. Men who treat her like a woman. Therapists. Peter Pan.

background
Family: Parents, Sylvia and Neil Goldberg, both deceased. No siblings.
History: Patricia was hardly an agreeable child - there was certainly a reason that her parents decided to stop at one. Her first word was a haughty "no!" and after enough years, her mother simply stopped explaining that it was rude to point and yell at strangers. In school, she had few friends. Teachers would often say that they had never seen a female bully quite like Patricia. She always insisted upon being the leader, no matter what the project, and was known to demand the lunch money of younger and smaller pupils. Though she liked to boss them around, Patricia was never very fond of other children - she always considered herself to be an adult, even at age five.

It came as quite a shock to the young girl when, at the age of 15, she began to have flashbacks of a most disturbing nature. Boats, mermaids, fairies, and flying children! These mental images were especially surprising because up until that point, Patricia had shown no indication that she even possessed an imagination. Though she tried viciously to strike them from her mind, the visions only got stronger - a desire to sail upon a ship brewing in her teenage chest. Just when she reached the point where she thought that she was certainly going insane, a man stood waiting for her as she left school one day. The stuffy gentleman explained to her in no uncertain terms that she actually was a fairytale, a reincarnation of the silly stories which she so detested. Though she found the entire thing incredibly foolish and mind-boggling, she did have one consolation - of the tales the man called "modern" (there seemed to be a slight bit of distaste in his mouth as he said it) she was the first to be reincarnated. Patricia liked that word. First. It made her special. A leader.

And this was true, actually. It was only a few years later, when she was 20, that she was called back to the Pentamerone for a meeting, in which he informed her of her new duty as Librarian. She took to the job like a fish in water. The opportunity to boss other tales around was like a dream come true. Not only that, but there was another issue at the forefront of her mind: Pan.

Unfortunately, it would be several years before she would have the pleasure of visiting a young Peter. Though she knew the very moment he was finally reincarnated (Patricia kept close tabs on the Compendium, making daily, obsessive visits to the book to thumb through its pages in search of his name) Anser prohibited her from visiting him until he was ready. This, of course, gave her plenty of time to plot his eventual demise and downfall. It was then, of course, to her extreme disappointment that Anser insisted on accompanying her on the visit.

As a Librarian, Patricia is far from a crowd pleaser. In general, she finds the problems of tales to be boring and extremely annoying, though other Peter Pan reincarnations may find that they receive an uncomfortable amount of her attention.

Professionally, Patricia went to school in New York for business, and found that she ran a very efficient ship, if one can excuse the expression. She currently runs Bagtight, a company she founded by employing several promising designers, encouraging them to experiment with new and exciting types of leather. Patricia prefers crocodile skin, and the scaly leather has become the company's trademark. The company has become relatively high-end, and Patricia lives a very comfortable lifestyle. She lives in the Pentamerone in a highly furnished bedroom. Though she attempted living in her own place, she found that she prefers the company of underlings.
